Q. What’s your name , and where are you from?
A. - “ We are Sunni and Tali together we make T.O.D. aka Topic of Discussion. Tali is a Houston native and Sunni is a LA native , we are currently based out of Houston Texas. ”
Q. What do you do for a living?
A. - “ We are both full time artist. ”
Q. When did you know that you wanted to turn your gift into a career ?
A. - “ We have been professionally doing music together since 2011 . We both knew that as soon as we graduated high school, we wanted music to be our full time career. ”
Q. Who are some of your biggest influences in your industry?
A. - “ Some of our biggest influences in the industry vary . Sunni is heavily influenced by Tupac , Lauryn Hill , Missy Elliott, Lil Wayne , and Drake. Tali is influenced by Selena , Destiny’s Child , Journey , Janet Jackson and Kehlani. ”
Q. What would you consider your biggest accomplishment thus far in your career?
A - “ Performing live for Iheartradio live streaming service Was a tremendous opportunity also traveling opening for Sevyn Streeter on her Girl Disrupted tour. ”
Q. What legacy would you like to leave behind for yourself?
A. - “ We both would like to leave behind a legacy that we both stood for more than just music but that we stood for all people Of all color . Also that we spread love and light and good music for all people to enjoy. ”
Q. How has the recent pandemic impacted the way you approach your craft ?
A. - “ COVID 19 has definitely impacted how we approach being independent artist. Everything has become Online and via social media. So we are hearing new things in that direction and focusing on bringing more content to our social media. ”
Q. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
A. - “ We see ourselves Topping Charts and breaking barriers as a female duo.”
