Q. What’s your full name, age, and where are you from?

A. “My name is BarbieBlack. Im 27 years old born in Norfolk,Va but now reside in Jacksonville Fl.

Q. What do you do for a living?

A. “I am a writer, rapper and model.”

Q. When did you know that you wanted to turn your gift into a career ?

A. “ I knew I wanted to turn my gift into a career at the age of 15. My cousins and I started a female rap group called KNB and from there I knew I was destined to be a star.”

Q. Who are some of your biggest influences in your industry?

A. “ My biggest influences in the music industry would have to be Lil Wayne, Lil Kim, Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj.”

Q. What would you consider your biggest accomplishment thus far in your career?

A. “ My biggest accomplishments thus far was sharing a stage with JT Money, Khaotic and other major recording artists as well as going on a Florida/Georgia club tour. Also being a co-host on Jacksonville, Florida’s number 1 podcast/radio talk show “Live and on Point.”

Q. What legacy would you like to leave behind for yourself?

A. “ The legacy that I want to leave behind is showing women from all backgrounds and ethnicity that anything is possible regardless of your circumstances.”

Q. How has the recent pandemic impacted the way you approach your craft ?

A. “ With the recent pandemic it has impacted me majorly but in a positive way. It gave me time to really sit and come up with different goals and marketing ideas to make me a better artist/performer.”

Q . Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

A. “ In the next 5 years I see myself being not only one of the top female rappers in the world but also being a writer for other artists. ”
